History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. When she was little, her rather wealthy family often ventured across the plains to a summer home near a ruined castle. She would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and she was stranded inside. Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the plains due to the painful memories there. Roywyn took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up halberd and armor she uses now. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Mortician for the past few years.

Motivation: Further expansion of business; and he'd like to take his coworkers down a peg

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Altho grew up listening to his mother's many stories. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. Recently a tribe of giants attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Altho fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
