History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He has dedicated himself to building a better kind of golem.

History: Jarana was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Commoner, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Commoner in service of a powerful lord somewhere.
