History: The child of southern immigrants she idolized her mother. When Anne reached her early adolescence her Halfling mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions. She now spends her time doing works of charity.

Motivation: She wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and a rival would like her out of the picture

Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. He plays an instrument quite well.

History: Mugrunden was born in the west. At a young age he loved to build and create. Like his father and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Guard. He has achieved small success as a Guard.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it; and further expansion of business

Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Through the years after Carrie was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Carrie's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.
