History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He found a children's book about a Gnome Bard who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Gynnie embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. She has all her life been fascinated with painting.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. She took after her mother in leading caravans. Because they were valued, her mother taught her to defend herself. When her mother died while fighting brigands, the young Gynnie began to lead the lost caravan. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and retire the richest woman in the north

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever he goes.

Personality: Maiathah hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate her. It was this clingy personality that held back her painting career. Her home and work are filled with various knick knacks she has acquired through the years. She cares a great deal for her adopted teenage daughter.

History: When she was but 5 years old her parents immigrated from the south. Being born in the south, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the south for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
