History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Stylist. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: To prove her worth to the world; and balancing her hectic life and new stylist responsibilities is difficult

He worked as a nervous Miner and found it very stressful. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Miner for the past few years.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and he is unsatisfied with his job

History: Born to a Knight, her father struggled to pay the bills. Her family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. She saw this and took pride in her father's willingness to do anything to win. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
