Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Fonkin was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the illithids.

She found a children's book about a Tiefling Commoner who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She is searching for what she claims is her rightful reward.
