History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She has since married many spouses, only to have them die. She claims to not be responsible.

Motivation: She made a deal with a demon which lead to her current lot in life, and she's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and to pay off her debts

Personality: She does not care much for physical appearances, nor does she care much for other people. She does however care about what she wants and getting it. She is susceptible to being scared and is in actuality easily frightened. She likes to tell stories.

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. Being born in the east, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the east for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. She has been saving her money to try and buy her brother's freedom.

Motivation: Her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and doesn't want to be a courier and was forced into it by her family

Personality: A deeply religious woman she believes everything happens for a reason. She does not believe in violence as a means to an end. She is a dedicated Navigator but believes her peers are too gung-ho.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Kallista abandoned her home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. She survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. She did whatever it took for her to survive. Lacking all sense, she decided to go on an adventure. She picked a direction and started trekking.

Motivation: She's in love; and she has a crush on the local doctor

History: She got into the Carter business at a young age. She moved out north to avoid the crime she committed. She has worked as a Carter like her mother before her.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and balancing her hectic life and new carter responsibilities is difficult
