Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Barendd embodies much of what other species detest in the Dwarves. He uses his nature as a weapon; he likes to lead opponents to think him in distress.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His parents were killed by illithids in a raid when he was still a young child. The illithids captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Shanairla was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Cursed with lycanthropy at a very young age, Shanairla has worked very hard to control her curse. She has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Barrister. She hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Personality: She is irritable and easily angered. She is a bit of a bully and is not afraid to use her stature and powers to intimidate and hurt. She loves being with her children and actually smiles when they are around. She would do anything for them. She dislikes her ex a great deal.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Carter and was forced into it by her family; and wants to work out more often

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and she desires to right it; and someone believes her a fraud
