His attire stands in sharp contrast to his shortspear, which is beautifully polished and possesses an ornate carving of a skull on it. His chestnut hair is slicked back into a classic pompadour. Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Umpen's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: Umpen was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Ranger, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Ranger in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Tabaxi companion (his 'brother'). He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Description: He wears a faded coat and loose pants complete with wide-brimmed hat. He is portly but not overly obese. His black hair, when down, is lengthy. His silver eyes are desperate and heavily dilated. He has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.

Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. He is afraid of women and trembles around them

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it.

Description: A middle-aged woman, she wears tight fighting clothing, which leaves very little to the imagination, and is pretty ugly. Her blonde hair is cut short with large spiked bangs in the front. Judging by the bloodshot nature of her eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine she has not slept for days.

Personality: She believes mankind has become decadent and spoiled by the march of civilization and an end should come to life as we know it. She is a bit of a macho woman and will challenge people to random contests of strength and skill, and invite them to random hunting and fishing trip.

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. When she was little, her rather wealthy family often ventured across the mountains to a summer home near a ruined castle. She would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and she was stranded inside. Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the mountains due to the painful memories there. Baelitae took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up quarterstaff and armor she uses now. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation he is generally quite perceptive. He notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. He is an amazing painter.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He always admired necromantic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Motivation: Nothing but the best is good enough for him; and he feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world

Description: She is a husky woman, who wears a red shirt with thin brown vertical stripes and yellow pants. With wild white hair. She has brown eyes and a red hat with a brown feather.

Personality: She does not care much for physical appearances, nor does she care much for other people. She does however care about what she wants and getting it. Despite her manner, she is extremely passionate and proud of her job, and she prides herself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Pearl grew up listening to her mother's many stories. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature lance.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother; and to reunite with her old friends
