History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Sarai grew up listening to her father's many stories. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Priest work with an outfit from a few towns over. Priest work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. Lacking all sense, she decided to go on an adventure. She picked a direction and started trekking.

History: When he was but 7 years old his parents immigrated from the north. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Rangrim alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and he desires to right it; and a deep hatred of gnolls

She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
