History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His parents were killed by dire rats in a raid when he was still a young child. The dire rats captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He was granted martial powers by his dying brother.

History: Rezena was born in the east. At a young age she loved to build and create. She always admired druidic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. She was granted druidic powers by her dying sister.

History: She was born on a small isolated farm. Brilliant and gifted she never wanted to apply herself. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Personality: He hates illithids. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He is a thrill seeker, he laughs at people and throws down challenges. He is highly competitive and combative.

History: Fargrim was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Expert, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Expert in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: Stoic and calm, she prefers to meditate than take action. She tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.

History: A powerful brothel owner made her what she is. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: She wants revenge against drow; and she'd like to take her coworkers down a peg
