History: Sarai lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. At a young age her father died while driving off some drow. Her mother being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train her in mace use. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His parents were killed by dire rats in a raid when he was still a young child. The dire rats captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. After a long history of fighting, Aldous and his spouse have recently divorced.

When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Fighter in service of a powerful lord somewhere. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a son. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.
