History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Maiathah was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She dropped out of school before completing her studies. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge
