He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Mayor work with an outfit from a few towns over. Mayor work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. After months of barely getting by, Ghaliver managed to ambush a major caravan with a load of valuables. Instantly wealthy, he made his way to the capital under a new identity.
