Bryseis grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Bryseis. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: When she was but 5 years old her parents immigrated from the east. Cursed with vampirism at a very young age, Veloptima has worked very hard to control her curse. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.
