History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Valorean was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. History: Gifted from a young age, Veit studied abroad. In his 19th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: She comes from a rich western family. She was an apprentice working in her father's forge. She leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever she goes.

Personality: She goes out her way to put a smile on everyone's face. There's no-one she won't accept into her heart. She is skeptical of what others tell her and is slow to trust.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Ranala grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Ranala. She used her abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.
