His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Tailor for hire.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has achieved small success as a Marshal.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Marshal responsibilities is difficult; and further expansion of business

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He is skeptical of what others tell him and is slow to trust.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Bertram was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance.
