History: Havilar was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Her mother had died from a severe disease that was unknown to the village doctor. Havilar was heart-stricken from the event, and her father started working long hours to provde for them. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.

Motivation: She'd like to take her coworkers down a peg; and she is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions

History: A powerful necromancer made him what he is. Umpen was orphaned to a temple shortly after his birth. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Umpen fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the gnolls.
