Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: Born in the north his family was never financially stable. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Miner hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Carpenter they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Miner, and he later adopted a second son.

Description: This exceptionally lanky man is armored in gleaming platemail with gilded edges. A flowing blue cape and mantle trimmed with soft black waves gently in the breeze. His golden hair is heavily combed to the right. His half smiles and hazel eyes are beguiling and draw you in.

Personality: Varis speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. On top of that he is swayed by a pretty face, and while loyalty to his employer will always come first he doesn't like to hit women.

History: Varis was born with his father's beautiful face. Since his father passed away years ago, his mother had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
