History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Rurik grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Rurik. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. When Chaedi reached her early adolescence her Elf mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Courier for the past few years.

Motivation: Someone believes her a fraud; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by orcs, and she desires to right it

History: Morkral lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. The family's rival house kidnapped his sister with the intent that his sister marry their son to gain control of contested properties. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.
