History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His parents were killed by dire rats in a raid when he was still a young child. The dire rats captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Nelkin was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the dire rats.

Personality: She dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the south. She believes the world needs to unite to get rid of goblins once and for all.

History: Maynild lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Maynild abandoned her home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. She survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. She did whatever it took for her to survive. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. Before the accident, she was one of the most outspoken anti-Half-Elven activists. She was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Half-Elven doctor. She is searching for what she claims is her rightful reward.

Motivation: Meet up once more with her childhood friend; and her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion

History: Born in the south her family was never financially stable. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. Some 4 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Nedda never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her father had trained her before.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Dwarven companion (her 'brother'). She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature ceremonial dagger.
