She was working during a period of war, and as one of the natives she lived in fear of joining the others in being slaughtered. She saw the brutality and swore off her fighting aspirations, taking her younger brother on her back after seeing her parents die, and fled the country. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: His religion dominates his actions; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs

Personality: While he is on the job, he is grim and serious. He understands how dangerous the world is and the need to stay safe. Rurik enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Born in the west to a Spy, Rurik learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and a rival would like him out of the picture

Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He is however nostalgic and wants to reunite with his old comrades. He has some compunction and patriotism and will work for the government before all other clients.

History: He was raised in a plains tribe. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Aldous was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.
