Personality: He resents people who mock his appearance or him, so he has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: A powerful brothel owner made him what he is. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and to share knowledge with the world

Description: A middle-aged woman, she prefers to wear fine silks, though has several suits of combat armor for her hunting needs, and is pretty ugly. She has no hair. Her eyes are blue and catlike.

Personality: Confrontational and typically high on some drug or another. She also has developed a complete distrust of the Miner profession.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her father. She has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Giselle fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: Expand her business; and balancing her hectic life and new cartwright responsibilities is difficult

She wears her black hair up in a very large beehive style do. Judging by the bloodshot nature of her eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine she has not slept for days.

Personality: She is irascible and easily irritated. She will do just about anything if she becomes convinced it is for someone's true love, of this she is easily convinced.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Ootah was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She inherited a moderately successful company from her mother. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She has recently attracted an admirer that believes she's playing hard to get.

Personality: Quiet and reserved she prefers to listen than to talk. She will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. She claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day she will do what she thinks is right.

History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. A freak accident while working with her Bookbinder father left her crippled. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.
