History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Doudra was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her mother took her hunting and taught her how to get in the mind of other creatures. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Oskar grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Oskar. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.
