She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Ea and her spouse have recently divorced.

From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

Motivation: She has a rivalry with the Church that dominates her actions; and she loathes her own lifestyle

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Motivation: She uses money and sex appeal to get what she needs; and money/treasure

History: He was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Ratbag grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Ratbag. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature longsword.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.
