History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his mother. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Personality: He is a hateful person. He taunts others and blames them for his problems. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Personality: Mardred is depressed about a lot of things. She tends to be a nihilist. She is cautious and jumpy. She reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: She got into the Sellsword business at a young age. Mardred was born on a far western plains where she grew up under the tutelage of her mother, an expert Sellsword. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 11 years.

Personality: She has schizophrenia that causes her to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. She claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day she will do what she thinks is right.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Sailor work with an outfit from a few towns over. Sailor work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She has set out to sabotage the competition.
