History: He was born into a rich family. A few years later when the east was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Personality: She is erratic and paranoid. She believes dire rats are coming to abduct people. She moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep her interest for a month it is impressive.

History: Portia was born in the north. At a young age she loved to build and create. Her parents were killed by dire rats in a raid when she was still a young child. The dire rats captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. She found several beat up suits of armor and, cannibalizing spare parts, she put together a working one.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge; and wants to work out more often

When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.
