History: He got into the Bather business at a young age. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Bather hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He's also a talented Bellfounder, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Personality: He's a bit of a prankster. He knows he is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. He has a cruel streak; something he gained from his previous mentor. He harbors resentment against his former mentor.

History: He was born into a rich family. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He is greedy.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a daughter. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: She is witty, but her monotone delivery comes off as unnerving She has no love for corruption and racketeering and views those as crimes of the highest magnitude.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her father. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Wants to work out more often; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever
