Description: This northern woman's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, she slurs her words together. She wears pastel leather gloves, a pastel jacket, and tight pants. She wears her beige fur down. This yellow eyed northerner is not easily forgotten.

Personality: She is quite rude, and likes to deride her opponents skill and shout insults at them. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Shifting is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: Shifting lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her mother worked until she suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. She had to support her now crippled mother and took her mother's old job. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.

Personality: She is quiet and unassuming. She ignores others and carries on with her job unassumingly. She does not believe in violence as a means to an end. She is a dedicated Mortician but believes her peers are too gung-ho.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. A gifted student she started as a Carter, but she got bored and became a Mortician. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: Someone believes her a fraud; and she wants revenge against gnolls

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. She moved out east to avoid the crime she committed. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

Personality: She is curt in most of her responses. She prefers to keep her word usage to a minimum to avoid giving away unnecessary information. She has a cruel streak; something she gained from her previous mentor. She harbors resentment against her former mentor.

History: Joan hails from a village terrorized by drow. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by drow. Joan was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the drow.

Motivation: She wants revenge against drow; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by drow, and she desires to right it
