History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Nikki was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Scribe hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Shoemaker. She hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. He has had some formal music training, and achieved minor success. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He speaks before he thinks and is too direct. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Great is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: Gifted from a young age, Great studied abroad. His martial abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He tends to his Mortician job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and doesn't want to be a mortician and was forced into it by his family

Personality: She is enamored with her job. She loves it. She likes the challenge and she likes helping those less fortunate than her. She is underhanded and not above using her wealth and body to get others to do her bidding.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her mother and father. Her mother taught her the rudiments of the Priest arts, while her father instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Brilliant and gifted she never wanted to apply herself. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: He misses his glory days as an athlete. He does not mind his job, but it is boring in comparison. He has a cruel streak; something he gained from his previous mentor. He harbors resentment against his former mentor.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and his religion dominates his actions
