History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Patrin grew up listening to his mother's many stories. Cursed with vampirism at a very young age, Patrin has worked very hard to control his curse. During his travels, Patrin and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Patrin discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Patrin fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Tabaxis in Tree's homeland. Tree decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.
