Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He is always in debt, since he spends his money on lavish parties and gifts for friends

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Like his father and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Brewer. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Brewer responsibilities is difficult.

Personality: He is intelligent and cunning, but he will too often allow his rage to get the better of him. He will lose his cool and rely on brute force to carry the day. He loves teas. He is very sensitive about his face. To blow off anger he lifts weights and to control his otherwise explosive temper he works out a lot.

History: He got into the Courier business at a young age. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Personality: She can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. She has a hair trigger and will fly into rage over the tiniest perceived slights.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. In her 10th year, her parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Gynnie alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: Halfling compassion; and someone believes her a fraud

History: Heir to a fortune, her parents put a great deal of effort into curing her disease. She inherited a moderately successful company from her father. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever she goes.

Motivation: Wants to have a good time and be beloved.
