History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. Some 6 years later her spouse died after the birth of her son. Heartbroken, Merla never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her son whom she trained as her father had trained her before.
