History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He now mingles about in high society.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the east. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Engong grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Engong.
