History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Nala was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a daughter. Some 8 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Nala never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her father had trained her before.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. Her parents enrolled her in a Ranger school at a young age so that she could practice her druidic talents. Since then, she has sought to make the best of life.

Motivation: She is terrified, and will act out of fear.

Personality: He fancies himself a trickster and likes to rely on his wits to carry the day. He cares for his older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. He has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a man enough he will sell his own mother. Money is his most trusted friend.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: To unite with his sister; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it

History: He was born at the edge of vast desert. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He bought a greatsword and has really upped his game hunting, due to his understanding of decoy and ambush.

Motivation: He is terrified, and will act out of fear; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army
