When Mardred reached her early adolescence her Dwarf father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions. After a long history of fighting, Mardred and her spouse have recently divorced.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Halflings in Pennie's homeland. Pennie decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 15 years.

History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. One night she noticed a nearby shooting star which she hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.
