History: Fragrant hails from a village terrorized by goblins. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. Through the years after Halimath was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Halimath's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: Drenna was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Her family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. She saw this and took pride in her mother's willingness to do anything to win. She tends to her Soapmaker job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

Motivation: She is unsatisfied with her job; and she is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions

History: Reirak was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Reirak was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the dire rats.

Motivation: He wants to meet his childhood hero; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Horhog was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. Recently a tribe of orcs attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Horhog fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
