Because they were valued, her mother taught her to defend herself. When her mother died while fighting drow, the young Vola began to lead the lost caravan. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. After coming to the age of reason, Cockaby took it upon himself to study the arcane arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Soapmaker and was forced into it by his family; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

Personality: Agnes is a sociable creature first and foremost. She loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. She can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. She is kind towards other women and children and will generally offer women help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to her.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. As a young adult she joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. She used her abilities to travel the world and help people.

Personality: He has a good heart but also a terrible temper. He will forgive often but not before yelling and berating someone for whatever they have done wrong. He has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a man enough he will sell his own mother. Money is his most trusted friend.

History: Hirrathak lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: Friendly and accommodating he would invite many more into his home than his spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. He also is a firm believer in the manly ideal.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and expand his business
