History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Rimple was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when goblins swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Through the years after Kali was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Kali's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Nikki hails from a village terrorized by illithids. Her father disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her father, she was betrayed dozens of times. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.
