History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her mother and father. Her mother taught her the rudiments of the Detective arts, while her father instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Her homeland was ravaged by war and she spent much of her life rebuilding it. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: She is quite rude, and likes to deride her opponents skill and shout insults at them. To her fellows she is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: Valanthe was raised in a hard working conservative environment. At a young age her father died while driving off some dire rats. Her mother being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train her in sickle use. She now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: A rival would like her out of the picture; and she wants revenge against dire rats

Personality: He is mildly Dwarf supremacist, though he does not identify as such. The war was a terrible time for him, and Traubon does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. A freak accident while working with his Blacksmith mother left him crippled. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Motivation: He feels kind of lost in life.

Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing writing.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the west; and he is a bit of a kleptomaniac
