The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. She saw this and took pride in her mother's willingness to do anything to win. She tends to her Soapmaker job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

Motivation: She is unsatisfied with her job; and she is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions

She found a children's book about a Elf Commoner who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. Lacking all sense, she decided to go on an adventure. She picked a direction and started trekking.
