History: Born in the north to a Mayor, Qualen learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. The family's rival house kidnapped his sister with the intent that his sister marry their son to gain control of contested properties. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Mayor and was forced into it by his family; and regain custody of his daughter

Personality: A deeply religious woman she believes everything happens for a reason. More though she will beg to come along on any journeys. She will attempt to stowaway on any ship she can in the hopes that it will get her further away.

History: Born in the south her family was never financially stable. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: An old rival family wants her found; and she is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs
