However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the orcs.

Motivation: She wants revenge against orcs; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by orcs, and she desires to right it

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Eleanor was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel.
