Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by orcs. Helja was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. Personality: She is a melancholic, but persistent worker. She resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. She is always in debt, since she spends her money on lavish parties and gifts for friends

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Synthrin fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
