History: Born to a Mason, his father struggled to pay the bills. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Navigator hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

History: He comes from a rich southern family. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. Some 2 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Tarhun never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.

Personality: Her tongue was cut out and she uses sign language. She tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.

History: Born in the west to a Map Maker, Mara learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. She worked as a nervous Map Maker and found it very stressful. She has worked as a Map Maker like her mother before her.

Description: A man with thick toned arms and a paunchy gut. He wears yellow trousers with tan and violet striped suspenders. He wears various colorful collared shirts. His silver hair is smooth and relatively long. He has a very pronounced jaw and large eyebrows. He wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. In his 17th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Map Maker for hire.

Personality: She is shy and timid. She has not had much interaction with people and is skittish around them. Saphara is a bit of a follower. Usually she is manipulated by her brothers into helping them out, but recently she has become more of a free agent.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. She was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform She has dedicated herself to building a better kind of golem.

Motivation: Meet up once more with her childhood friend.
