History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was granted martial powers by his dying brother.

History: Sweet hails from a village terrorized by drow. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by drow, and she desires to right it; and to get a good night's sleep
