Description: He is an exceptionally muscular looking southern young adult. He wears an amalgamation of clothes and depending on the season will wear more layers of the continuing hodge podge. Beneath his clothing is a huge mess of scar tissue. His chestnut hair is greying along the sides and has receded to reveal a widow's peak. His blue eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.

Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation he is generally quite perceptive. He notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Oppleby is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. His childhood dream was to be a Healer, but he was a colossal failure. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Mayor for the past few years.

Personality: He is enamored with his job. He loves it. He likes the challenge and he likes helping those less fortunate than him. He has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a man enough he will sell his own mother. Money is his most trusted friend.

History: When he was but 8 years old his parents immigrated from the north. Like his mother and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Scribe. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. He claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day he will do what he thinks is right.

History: Born in the north to a Healer, Riardon learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Beast was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. After a long history of fighting, Beast and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. She inherited a moderately successful company from her mother. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: She feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help.
