History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. After coming to the age of reason, Veit took it upon himself to study the arcane arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He was granted arcane powers by his dying brother.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. Ranala was born on a far southern forest where she grew up under the tutelage of her father, an expert Marshal. She has since married many spouses, only to have them die. She claims to not be responsible.

Motivation: She is unsatisfied with her job; and wishes to resurrect an old love
