It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: Herleva speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. She is clearly well-traveled and educated. She loves teas. She is very sensitive about her face. To blow off anger she lifts weights and to control her otherwise explosive temper she works out a lot.

History: Herleva was born with her father's beautiful face. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. Recently a tribe of drow attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls.
