History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Alain was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Alain was born on a far southern plains where she grew up under the tutelage of her father, an expert Cook. She now mingles about in high society.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered east to less war torn lands. He has since lost track of the people in his past.
